Switzerland: Amazing views in Lausanne and Chexbres

I lived in Switzerland a few years ago and this is why this country has a special place in my heart. Well, it's not only that, Switzerland offers spectacular views that just takes my breath away. I was lucky to live and work in Lausanne and till now have been able to travel there quite often. However, as I'm taking a new job, I don't think I'd have a chance to travel to Switzerland as often as I've been doing for the past few years.

So when I was there recently, I took photos to capture the scenery... the architecture... I was in Lausanne and Chexbres...

Denmark: The Little Mermaid...

They say the "Little Mermaid", a statue inspired by Danish Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, is a must-see attraction in Copenhagen. Although I've had many opportunities to visit this famous landmark, I've only managed to see it for the first time with my husband and my parents a few months ago.

And I was so amazed... millions and millions of people go to this place to view the famous "Little Mermaid". And there it was... the "Little Mermaid" happens to be as its name implies ... it's so little... :-)

Yes, I expected it to be more grand... but still, many of us who were there elbowed each other to snap photographs of the small but splendid "Little Mermaid".

Denmark: Shopping in Copenhagen

Dubbed as the longest pedestrian shopping area in Europe, Strøget (Danish word which literally means "the stroke") features some of my favourite brands: Max Mara, Louis Vuitton, Ecco and Gant.

On this street, you will also find one of the city's most popular department stores, Illums, and other famous brands such as Gucci, Marlboro Classics, Mango, and Zara.
If you're looking for Danish souvenirs, there are several souvenir shops here too.

(I've taken these photos last week. )
